Wow, it’s a big day for us. For some time now, Blake has been working on the ideas behind Goalcamp: online tools that make it simple for friends to get together and inspire each other to set and accomplish real life goals. Today we get to start talking about our first application: Challenge. Goalcamp: Challenge is built on the Facebook Platform, making it simple to challenge your friends to try something, track their progress, encourage them, and then celebrate when you all make it to the finish line. With Challenge, you can double dog dare your pals to run that marathon and help them keep at it.
We’re showing off our work at today’s F8 developer conference. We’re also happy to announce that we were one of the first two applications to receive a grant through Facebook’s fbFund. Challenge should be part of the show onstage today, and we’ll be around all day talking with people. If you’re at F8, come say hello. Blake, Patrick Durst & Stormy Shippy are on hand.
We also want to thank our advisors for their timely input on our work. We’re blessed to have lots of friends and peers who share our passion for using the Web to make a real world impact on people’s lives. Challenge has greatly benefitted from our ad hoc advisory group that includes Dave McClure, Narendra Rocherolle, Ryan Freitas, Josh Williams and Brian Oberkirch.
